Brighton has a rich history of welcoming international students – and so does Student Brighton. For over 50 years we have been providing affordable rooms, bedsits, apartments, and houses to overseas language students wanting to study, live and work in Brighton & Hove.

You can check out our wide range of high quality properties here.

Thousands of international students choose to study at one of Brighton & Hove’s world renowned universities every year. Brighton is also home to the highly respected British and Irish Modern Music Institute (BIMM), the Academy of Creative Training (ACT), plus higher education centres such as the Greater Brighton Metropolitan College (MET).

Regardless of whichever full-time course you decide to study, the city offers a wide range of courses and degrees to suit your academic requirements.

You can also read more about why, year on year, so many international students flock to this amazing, multicultural city.

We fully appreciate how difficult it can be for an international student to rent a property in the city without a guarantor. At Student Brighton, our aim is to make it as simple as possible for any international student looking to rent one of our properties. Therefore, any student who does not have the luxury of a British based home-owning guarantor to act on their behalf can simply supply three months rent to be paid in advance when first moving into the property (or two months rent if you are renting one of our self-contained flats).

We also work in partnership with Housing Hand who, for a reasonable fee, will act as your rental guarantor during your tenancy with us.

The documents required before any new tenancy agreement with Student Brighton are:

An original copy of your valid passport or national identity card.

An original copy of your Tier 4 (general) student visa (if you are not a British Citizen or a student from a country in the EU or EEA).

A letter from your university, college, or school confirming your full-time course.

Once we have all of this documentation a new contract can be created and emailed to you for digital signature.
